I pretty much grew up with that musical, and my mama would always dance around and sing that part. I think she’ll do really well in that role. Also, Eddie’s face…. I hope it’s good.

I worked for 8 and a half hours today. I was in charge of the floral department, so I got to deal with the flowers and balloons all day. I blew up so many balloons that my fingers started to bleed! Ah! But there’s a good chance I’m going to get to work with the coffee drinks soon with a couple of my very good friends. Hopefully it all works out. I keep seeing people posting on various internets about being pumped for summer, etc, etc. I think summer is very mediocre apart from all of the sleeping. It’s not even my cynicism, it’s just that there’s nothing that great about it. I guess sleepovers on Mondays are nice. And I plan to have a lot of bonfire/ camp outs. I have a fire pit at one of my houses so it should be nice. I’m moving 25 minutes away next year. It’ll be weird not living in the heart of Severna Park, since I’ve lived here for 14 of my 16 years. I’ll have to drive a half hour to school each morning. It doesn’t really suck all that much, since it will be my fourth move this year. I started a book called The Elephant Keeper, which intrigued me because my copy is very old and has an interesting cover. (Don’t judge a book by its cover? Eh. Sue me.) Anyway, it’s a bit flat so far. It’s about a dude who really likes elephants. I guess I shouldn’t have judged it by the cover, since the cover was interesting but the innards are mundane. Anyway, this has been a novel in itself! I am currently grounded (hopefully not for long?)…. but I am enjoying the last week of school :)

I am currently grounded, which is most inconvenient. But yesterday my mom let me out to volunteer at a small, sustainable, local farm in Baltimore with a couple people from my English class and my kick ass teacher. I spent 3 hours weeding a greenhouse but the people who worked there were so nice and funny, it felt like it was like 5 minutes. I sat on a fire ant colony and my legs burned for like an hour from all the bites, but other than that it was really cool. Then we went out to Brick Oven Pizza with my teacher and some good friends, then walked around Fell’s Point for a bit. I got a Kid Cudi vinyl, The Tallest Man On Earth vinyl, and The Decemberists Picaresque CD. And then I got home and took a 6 hour nap so I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight. It was really awesome, though!
